STRETCH! Stretching is a big part of your road to a healthy body. Wake up slow and stretch before you get out of bed. (Have you ever watched a cat wake up from a nap?) Stretching helps the tendons, ligaments and the other connective tissues in our bodies to stay supple. It helps to break up lactic acids (a by product of our resistance training) and rid our bodies of toxins. And IT FEELS GOOD! An easy way to get in some extra stretching is to take advantage of the time during the commercials while your watching television. Just use some of the stretches we’ve shown in class or ask one of the instructors to suggest some that are appropriate. You will be strong, fit AND flexible in no time!

Remember, Jazzercise is just part of your fitness regimen. Eating the right amounts of food at the right time is just as important. Keep the fires stoked by eating several (4 to 6) times a day. If it is eight at night and you’ve only eaten a couple of times that day, then get out your fork. You’ve got some eating to do!!! Try to keep the meals balanced between carbs, fats, and protein. Yes, you need all three! More on that later. Keep up the good work!
